kids crafts and me

kids and country fresh air

Well I’d better start with a bit of a thing about me, that in it’s self feels pretty weird. I love talking to kids and about kids, before I was even married with kids, I worked in a preschool , which I loved. give me a dollop of play dough and a some kids to chatter with and I’m as happy as Larry. Stick me in a play group setting and I could play all day at the woodwork table and in the sandpit. There is something wonderful about the absolute honesty of children. It wouldn’t be every ones cup of tea to have a 4 year old blurt out  “You have a weird laugh” which I do, I laugh like a cackling chicken laying an egg. and I laugh often , so for those who don’t like my odd laugh it can be a problem. but on a blog your all safe from weird laughing sounds. I’v done the whole preschool and mobile kindergarten thing, (those of you who have ever lived in the more rural areas of NZ will know all about mobile kindy.) we even had a stint of 2 years as home schoolers with my younger 2 children.  It was one of the best times of my life, not sure if my kids would agree, but they have all grown up and are gainfully employed and in stable relationships so something must have gone right.  for the last 12 years I have worked on and off as a program assistant or supervisor in various after school programs. So all in all I’ve picked up a few tips and ideas that I’d love to share. Most of the ideas I’ll share will be low cost, hopefully high fun. and no doubt messy , well some will be,  So that’s a bit about me and my back ground , I hope to share some thing most days. happy crafting folks
